Bike event studio brief 2

Responding to the feedback you received, you should develop and produce a range of responses relating to a minimum of two of the following areas of design:
Publishing & Editorial
Information & Way-finding
Branding & Identity
Product & Packaging
Retail & Promotion
Your work should practically and conceptually explore the possible products, ranges and methods of distribution that you have investigated and analysed in your primary and secondary research. Your work should also reflect your own creative ambitions within graphic design as well as being focused towards your chosen audience.

Background and considerations
You should consider working across a broad range of media and formats that are appropriate to your subject and your development as a graphic designer.  Your response should explore the relationship between the product, range and potential methods of distribution, whilst also analysing context, audience and tone of voice.
You need to ensure that you analyse and critically evaluate the impact of social, cultural, technological and/or ethical concerns with regards to your design solutions.  Additionally, you are required to demonstrate your understanding of the limitations and the potential of technologies and processes used in the production of design for 2d, 3d and 4d distribution.
Your content should explore and apply a range of appropriate practical and conceptual approaches as well as being technically competent and contextually appropriate.  Your resolutions should demonstrate an informed understanding of issues relating to media, communication, audience and function.

To start off with i started to think about different ideas that i could do to do with a bike event because i knew that was what i wanted to create. There was some ideas that i thought were good such as having the event as a charity event so people would take part to raise money for there chosen charity, i also liked the idea of having different tracks for different skill levelled cyclists that would then go on to form the brand and identity of the event, also using neon colours would work really well for this because it relates well to cyclists because that is something they should be wearing (fluorescent). I also like how it is very relevant because of the Tour De France which is coming to Yorkshire.

After deciding on doing an event i thought for the printed materials i could create an event pack that would be for the contenders, something they get before the race, i like the idea of making something for them to be prepared for the event, like and event information and tool kit ect, then there is all the other things that are usually be used such as tickets to get into the event and an event pass when they are walking around. Another essential would be a map that helps to direct people around the event and also can be used on the tracks so they dont get lost but also gives them a number for safety reasons.

I want the event to use a strong colour system so it is different to any other event and also so it is easy to understand and everything comes across simply to the athletes and spectators.
