16 Page publication Creating the illustrations

For my book i wanted to look at a more illustrative approach to my designs because i felt the bikes would look really strong as a vector illustration stemming from my research. I selected bikes that i could use to create the illustration for each category. These bikes are shown below.  

Creating the illustrations

I firstly started with the tyres so i could get the size of the bike. 

Next using the pen tool i drew in the lines for the frame of the bike, changing the weight of the frame i made it the correct size. 

i then did the same for the spokes. 

I made sure the cap and corners were set as shown below for all the strokes
